A former Burton Albion midfield player, Chris joined the Reds following his release by Blue Square North rivals Gainsborough Trinity.
Chris began his career with Lincoln United in 2003 having had trials with Leicester City before being signed by Nigel Clough for the Brewers in May 2004.
He had a three year stay at the Pirelli Stadium where he made well over 100 appearances including both of the historic FA Cup games against Manchester United in the 2005/06 season.
Following a knee injury in October 2006, he was surprisingly released and moved to Gainsborough in June 2007, also having a month's loan spell with York City in March 2008.
Chris is a quick and skilful left-sided midfield player who can also operate centrally. He has also played in an advanced attacking role.
